

Rochester Democratic Town Committee Attends Plymouth County Democratic League John Walsh Breakfast
The second annual John Walsh Breakfast was held on January 10th in Plymouth. Three members of our committee are committee members and two of them are on the PCDL Board of Directors. The breakfast was a great success and well attended. Speakers included Senator Ed Markey, Attorney General Andrea Campbell, State Auditor Diana DiZoglio, and Chairperson Jess Laverty. RDTC Mini Food Drive Generated a Trunk Load of Food for Damien's Pantry
In an effort to get food to families and people struggling with food insecurity, the members of the Rochester Democratic Town Committee donated food for Damien's Pantry which serves Rochester and neighboring communities. The Rochester Democratic Committee Hosted an Informational Brunch to Support the Freedom to Read Movement
The RDTC believes the "Freedom to Read" is a fundamental right to access information, ideas, and diverse viewpoints through reading, protected by the First Amendment, championed by organizations like Authors Against Book Bans, the American Library Association (ALA) , and the Freedom to Read Foundation (FTRF), and promoted through events like the Right to Read Day on 10/11/2025 to counter censorship and promote open inquiry in libraries. School Supply Drive
The Rochester Democratic Town Committee supports our teachers and students throughout the year starting with a late summer school supply drive supplementing classroom needs. We also support our Rochester Memorial School teachers throughout the year and especially during Teacher Appreciation Week. This year we gathered, through donations, $1500 worth of supplies!

The First Annual Rochester Democratic Town Committee Fundraiser
On August 18th, 2025 the Rochester Democratic Committee held the first ever fundraiser for a democratic committee in Rochester. It was a great success bringing together state, county. and local officials. The fundraiser brought together Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, State Representative Mark Sylvia, and our "Five Town DTC Coalition" consisting of Rochester, Fairhaven, Mattapoisett, Marion, and Acushnet..
